New BBC drama for Phil
Actress Seainin Brennan confirmed on Twitter earlier today that she has been cast in a new BBC1 drama - called The Undisclosed - alongside Phil.

Here is the blurb from the BBC press site:

Written by Ronan Bennett, Undisclosed (working title) is a taut and compelling mystery thriller revolving around Harry Venn, a small-time solicitor. Forced to delve into his murky past when asked to find a missing alibi witness, Venn soon finds himself caught up in a bigger and more complex conspiracy. Blurring the line between the political and the personal, Undisclosed is created by Ronan Bennett and Walter Bernstein.

Filming will commence in Belfast next month.

Thanks to Curmy on TRA for spotting!

This sounds great - she is a beautiful woman and if he has a girlfriend in this series it will be nice to see him interacting with a beauty. Since they didn't ask any of us....

Oh I don't know, I'd be quite content if any girlfriend was more "normal". :¬)

He's on the road to stardom is Phil!
And what an opportunity for Seanin? :) The luck of the Irish LOL.
I imagine there's a rapidly- growing queue of actresses waiting in delicious anticipation of being cast alongside the Glenister.

I do hope Seanin doesn't waste her good fortune ;)

Hi everyone. I'm new to this stuff so just wanted to say hi. That's great news that Mr G is going to be doing something new soon. Ashes to Ashes just finished here and I'm lost as to what to watch with Phil in it :)

Try the BBC Vanity Fair - DVD should be available somewhere - NOT the Hollywood film with Reese Witherspoon though. Philip is brilliant as the lovelorn and deeply noble Major Dobbin. Lvoe him in it. For a listeing of everything he has ever done try "Merlot's Philip Glenister Forum" - there is a link above on the left, and there is a link from his official site as well. Or just Google it. You have to register to get in but there is an album of thousands of amazing photos and threads of fun discussion and appreciation on every series or film he has appeared in.

Hey 63downunder. Glad to see another Ashes and Phil fan on LJ. Phil's been in some fabulous shows and movies. So no need to feel lost as to what to watch. As smtwetwe suggested, Vanity Fair is a "MUST SEE". Island at War is another great series Phil was in. Which Im sure is available on PAL DVD And of course Id be remiss of my duty if I dont direct you to watch Life on Mars (the prequel to Ashes to Ashes). So theres 3 things for starters to keep you happy :)
